Life’s Adventures

2014 is here and there are some adventures that I want to have.  Being a wife, mom of 3 little ones, and social worker does not exactly make having adventures easy.  I think that there are ways , though, that I can create different adventures that I can create for both myself and my family!

I think that creating and learning or improving some of my creative endeavors is one way that I can create a new adventure for myself.  Since my passion is creating, I think learning more about the crafts that I love or trying out new crafts is something that will create both adventure and stress relief for me.  I keep saying that I am going to make time to be creative, but I don’t always follow through.  This is going to be a challenge, but a fun and exciting challenge.

I can create adventures with food.  I know that my husband will be excited to try new foods and go on an adventure to different countries by trying new and exciting foods.  Cooking new foods will also go along with my goal to be creative.  I am tired of having the same old foods all the time.  I love eating out at different ethnic restaurants and maybe I can recreate that at home.

I know that our budget is limited, but I want to try to create different adventures for our family that are budget friendly.  We are in the thick of winter right now and I am dealing with a herniated disc, but I want to go hiking and camping more and take more day trips.  We went camping with the kids for the first time last year and had a really good time.  I want to do that more often.  We have a couple of great tents and I think it would be a great way to have different adventures in our neck of the woods without spending a ton of money and a way to create great memories for all of us!

I haven’t exactly been keeping up with blogging, but I hope to post some of my different adventures: hand crafts, food, and travel, as the year goes on.  I am looking forward to a great new year in 2014 and look forward to putting it down so that I can go back and reminisce about our great year.

Hello world!

Hey There,

I’ve been blogging at a few different blogs, but I thought I’d try to combine them into one blog and just blog about life as a wife, mom, sister, friend, social worker, creator, dreamer, and as a woman just trying to find her way through life in a more balanced way. I am not really sure where this is going, and I hope that I can find more followers and people who will participate and maybe comment. In turn, that also means that I need to be better at networking with other bloggers. I am hopeful that this in turn will help me network better in life.

You can expect to see things about my kids, my beliefs, my creations, my cooking, and generally anything to do with my life. I love being a wife and a mom. I love learning about holistic health, from gardening to food, to herbs and aromatherapy to ways to reduce stress to creativity.

I’m the wife of a great guy who I’ve been with for almost 19 years and the mom of 3 kids, a 4 year old boy and girl/boy twins 10 1/2 months younger. I got my MSW 1 month before I got married and have called social work my profession for 15 years. I love to be creative and I would love to figure out what my true passion in life is. I am thrilled that I have my MSW but I am not sure that it my true passion. Maybe by trying to live a balanced life, I will one day figure out my passion and how to add it in to my life in a balanced way.

I love being a wife and a mom and would change anything about my life. I do however want to figure out my passion in my professional life. Join me in my journey to figure out how to live a balanced life, living real life as well as following my dreams and passions.
